Priority Point System

The Eagle Club Point System is intended to recognize, reward, and provide some form of equity to supporters of NCCU Athletics. The Point System is calculated based on five elements. The five elements of the Point System are: Consecutive Years points, Gold Life points, Cumulative Gift points, Current Year Contribution points and Ticket and Parking points. The Point System is used as a factor for determining individual rankings in order to grant access to banquets, away game tickets, parking and other select events or items with limited availability.  Members are first ranked by their current year’s annual pledge and then by their point system ranking.

Elements of Point System

Consecutive Years points - Members are rewarded for each year of consecutive contributions to the NCCU Eagle Club. Beginning Consecutive Points are rewarded for all identifiable years of contributions. Each year, Consecutive Points from the preceding year are added to points earned in the current year. For years one through ten, members earn 1.000 consecutive points. For years 11 - 20, members earn 1.200 consecutive points. For years 21 - 30, members earn 1.400 consecutive points.

Gold Life points – "Legacy Club" Gold Life members were awarded 20.00 one time points (Determined by dividing the highest "Legacy Club" EAF level $3,000 by the lowest Legacy Eagle Club level $150).

Cumulative Give points – Members are rewarded for every dollar given to the NCCU Eagle Club. Cumulative Gifts includes personal contributions to capital campaigns. Each year, Cumulative Gifts from the previous years are added to those earned in the current year. Cumulative Gifts points are determined by taking the dollar amounts given to capital campaigns and dividing it by a factor of 0.008.

Current Year Contribution points – These points are calculated by taking the dollar value of the year pledge and multiplying it by a factor of 0.012.

Ticket and Parking points – Members are awarded 3.000 for each “All Access Pass” ordered. Members are awarded 1.000 for each Season Football or Basketball Ticket purchased. Members are awarded 1.000 for each allowable Parking Pass purchased.

Calculating Your Points

The following is an example of how the Eagle Club Points System works for an individual member:

Example: Eddie has been a member of the Eagle Club from fiscal years 1999 - 2010. Eddie became a Gold Life member in 2005. Eddie made a gift of $5,000 in 2009 and 2010 to the capital fund designated for the purchase of a new scoreboard. Eddie pays $2,500.00 during fiscal year 2010 for membership dues, to the Eagle Club. Eddie also purchased a season football and basketball pass in fiscal year 2009 and an all-access pass in 2010. Assume 2010 is the current year.
